A career Mossad agent who is an expert on the capture of one of the biggest Nazi war criminals in history will spend this week in Pittsburgh.
Avner Avraham spent nearly three decades at the Israeli spy agency and most recently has been the resident expert on the set for the 2018 film “Operation Finale,” starring Oscar Isaac and Oscar-winner Ben Kingsley. The drama film is based on the true story of Israeli agents who captured SS officer Adolf Eichmann in 1960 in Argentina.
Mr. Avraham’s visit to the Pittsburgh region will include several stops at area schools and an event open to the public Tuesday night at Duquesne University. The free lecture and special presentation titled “Operation Finale: The Real Story of the Capture of a Nazi War Criminal” will be held at 7:30 p.m. in Duquesne’s Power Center Dougherty Ballroom.
